About Paul Hatch Birch

For over three decades, Paul Hatch Birch has been the driving force behind the Wyeth workshop— the heart of one of New York’s most respected destinations for vintage and custom furniture. Since Wyeth’s founding, Paul has overseen the repair, refinishing, and creation of countless extraordinary pieces, gaining an intimate understanding of construction methods, materials, and the craft traditions that define great design.

Drawing on this deep experience, Paul began creating original designs— objects initially made as gifts for family and friends, which now form the PHB Collection. Each piece reflects a lifetime spent working with wood, metal, and leather, and carries the refinement and permanence of true craftsmanship. Paul designs his pieces to be lived with and loved for generations.
