About Paul Hatch Birch

For over three decades, Paul Hatch Birch has been the driving force behind the Wyeth workshop — the heart of one of New York’s most respected destinations for vintage and custom furniture. Since Wyeth’s founding by his brother John, Paul has overseen the repair, refinishing, and creation of countless extraordinary pieces, gaining an intimate understanding of construction methods, materials, and the craft traditions that define great design.

Drawing on this deep experience, Paul began creating original designs of his own — objects first made as gifts for family and friends, now forming the PHB Collection. Each piece reflects a lifetime spent working with wood, metal, and leather, and carries the quiet refinement and permanence that come only from true craftsmanship. Paul believes that things should be built to be lived with—and loved—for generations.
