The distinctive joinery and tapered facets of this table emerged organically as shop-floor explorations. A faceted, tapered X-base rests on cylindrical feet, supporting a single tapered leg that pierces the tabletop through a minimal diamond-shaped mortise. Triangular facets beneath the top create its distinctive edge profile. This example features a character-rich American walnut top, full of knots and expressive grain. Made to order in a variety of wood species, the table is equally striking in a quieter, more straight-grained wood, allowing its sculptural form and intricate joinery to take center stage.
